This topographic street plan of Baden was printed in 1950 by the General Staff of the Soviet Union.
The map is in the Russian language. At the time, it was a very recent portrayal of the city, being based on surveys dated 1949. Building footprints are depicted in detail, and contours are indicated every 5 meters. This was probably to meet the needs of the Soviet occupation zone in Austria, which was headquartered in Baden, between the end of the Second World War and 1955.
Maps of another five Austrian cities, including Vienna, can be downloaded from TROPICARTA (requires Chomikuj account).
