This is a digital copy of ‘Traverse City’, a topographic map printed by the US federal government.
It is part of the Joint Operations Graphic (Air) series at 1:250,000. These topo maps are available throughout the Americas, and they portray the landscape more effectively than United States Geological Survey quads at the same scale. JOGs have the same attention to detail as 1×2 degree quadrangles, but their layer coloring, relief shading, landmarks, and minimal clutter give them superior legibility in the outdoors.
Key details of the printed map:
- edition 1
- reprinted in April 2005 by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
- published in November 1999 by the National Imagery and Mapping Agency
- air information current through August 23, 1999
- base map compiled in March 1998
- from survey information last dated 1995
This map offers more recent information than the equivalent USGS sheet, which was surveyed 6 years previously, in 1989.
