This is a digital copy of ‘Danville’, a topographic map printed by the US federal government.
It is part of the Joint Operations Graphic (Air) series at 1:250,000. These topo maps are available throughout the Americas, and they portray the landscape more effectively than United States Geological Survey quads at the same scale. JOGs have the same attention to detail as 1×2 degree quadrangles, but their layer coloring, relief shading, landmarks, and minimal clutter give them superior legibility in the outdoors.
Key details of the printed map:
- edition 1
- reprinted in December 1994 by the Defense Mapping Agency, Aerospace Center
- published by the Defense Mapping Agency, Hydrographic/Topographic Center
- air information current through June 4, 1985
- base map compiled in April 1984
- from survey information last dated 1980
This map offers more recent information than the equivalent USGS sheet, which was surveyed 9 years previously, in 1971.
