This is a digital copy of ‘Bluefield’, a topographic map printed by the US federal government.
It is part of the Joint Operations Graphic (Air) series at 1:250,000. These topo maps are available throughout the Americas, and they portray the landscape more effectively than United States Geological Survey quads at the same scale. JOGs have the same attention to detail as 1×2 degree quadrangles, but their layer coloring, relief shading, landmarks, and minimal clutter give them superior legibility in the outdoors.
Key details of the printed map:
- edition 3
- reprinted in October 2004 by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency
- published by the Defense Mapping Agency, Hydrographic/Topographic Center
- air information current through March 8, 1989
- base map compiled in October 1988
- from survey information last dated 1984
This map offers more recent information than the equivalent USGS sheet, which was surveyed 18 years previously, in 1966.
